Dan is a shareholder in Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. He is based in our Minneapolis office and is a member of the Financial Institutions and Real Estate Section. Dan practices principally in the areas of:
Dan has been designated a 2006 "Super Lawyer" by Minnesota Law & Politics. He is one of only 21 Minnesota real estate lawyers listed in the Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business 2005 Client's Guide. He was also selected as a "Leading American Attorney."
Dan is certified as a real property law specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association and is a member of American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is admitted to practice before the federal district courts of Minnesota and Nebraska, as well as the U.S. Court of Military Appeals. He is the former chairperson of both the Ramsey County and Minnesota State Bar Association Real Estate Sections, a former member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Board of Governors, and past president of the Ramsey County Bar Association. Dan is also a member of the Twin Cities Creighton University Alumni Board and a former member of the Creighton University National Alumni Board.
Dan received both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from Creighton University, where he was on the editorial board and author of a comment for the Creighton Law Review. He was also a member of the National Moot Court Team. After graduating from law school, he served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps for four years before joining Briggs in 1973.
